To provide an understanding of the response of column-stabilised floating units to loading and environmental forces and damage control.

Certification

ASET Certification is recognised internationally by the offshore Oil and Gas industry. An ASET Certificate will be issued on successful completion of this course and examination. The course meets the second part of the IADC/Nl Comprehensive Stability Programme 'A'. The certificate issued will comply with the requirements of the United Kingdom and Canada;US Coast Guard (USCG) and the International Maritime Organization (lMO).

Course duration and times may vary depending on delegate numbers.

Special Requirements

Delegates must provide ASET Stability Theory (Stability 1) Certi?cate prior to acceptance on the course, or possess class 1 (Master Mariner) or class 2. Alternatively an appropriate deck quali?cation meeting STCW95, eg Of?cer of the Watch or higher.

Notes to Clients

The course content complies with the IADC/NI Guidelines and the IMO requirement A1079(28) for the selection and training of Ballast Control Operators. This certificate will comply with regulations in the United Kingdom and Canada; US Coast Guard (USCG) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The completion of this course is a prerequisite to gaining entry to the Ballast Control Simulator Course (Stability 3). Delegates will be required to pass an assessment prior to the issue of a certificate. Failure to meet these criteria will affect your Certification.
